Guidelines for Parish Communication Team
Parish communications team activities, explained step by step
01
Parish Newsletter Dissemination
-
The weekly Parish Newsletter, including the saint of the day and anniversary notifications, is posted online every Sunday morning for each parish. Use this information to create social media posts for active promotion. If the Parish Newsletter is available only as an image, use AI to convert relevant sections to text.
-
During the week, posts highlight key saints and events.
-
Promotions for various events in the parish, Dublin, or Ireland, published weekly in the Parish Newsletter, are shared on social media.
-
Use the scheduling functionality on X and Facebook to time posts throughout the week.
02
Promotion of Key Upcoming Parish Events
Promote key parish events in advance through social media and printed materials, using images from the web, previous years, or interviews with event organizers.
03
Document Parish Events
Document parish events, such as Christmas, St. Brigid’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter’s Holy Week, and more. Post about “behind the scenes,” including interviews and videos featuring parishioners who make the parish such a vibrant place. Big Thanks to the organisers.

04
Promotion of Key Catholic Festivities and Events
Promote large Catholic events and celebrations in Ireland and abroad, including festivities, saint commemorations, processions, and other activities in various cities across the world. Track key Catholic accounts and websites for updates and materials.
